Jeff Leave 9 march 2024: 92/100 "Flowers, cherries, espresso, mint, spice and smoke create the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, round, supple, fresh and forward, allowing to enjoy is sweet cherry and plum profile, with its peppery edge on release. The wine blends 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2025-2040."

Lovely aromatic expression, floral and richly scented with ripe black cherry and salty blueberry. Cool and charming, this makes an impact straight away with a push of ripe, gently chewy tannins which expand and coat the mouth. More expansive and less narrow than some from this appellation at this point. Feels a bit more approachable but still with structure and push. Lots of freshness, wide, minty and salty. Jancis Robinson Master of Wine, May 2022: 17/20   "Cask sample.Excellent depth of flavour and ripeness. Sappy with no skinniness. Really no sign that this was a difficult vintage. Complete. Fresh with ripe tannins dominated by vibrant, ripe fruit. It even has some impressive persistence. It’s not super-ripe but is certainly ripe enough.

Majors on blueberry and raspberry fruit, dips through the mid palate but enjoyable, one to look out for, with smoked caramel notes from the oak. Tasted twice. 44hl/h yield.
